Instagram has introduced new features which include allowing users to turn their selfies into stickers, and other sticker tools that help make conversations even more creative.
Instagram said the “new sticker tools that help you be even more creative, whether you’re sharing to your story or having conversations with your friends.”
The updates have been added to Instagram Direct which was introduced last week to turn conversation into visual conversation with videos and photographs.
“Over 200 million people now use Instagram Stories every day to keep up with friends,” said the company in a blog post.
These new sticker tools can now turn the most casual, everyday moments into something fun to share.
Selfie Sticker and Pinning
User can convert their selfie into a sticker and can quickly share their reaction or trade faces with someone (or something) in their story.
Users can capture a ‘mini-selfie’ by taking a photo or video and tap the new sticker with a camera icon after tapping the smiley face.
They can also add different frame styles, fade or circle, before or after capturing the video circle. User can put the selfie sticker anywhere, adjust the size and use as many other creative tools.
Users can also pin the selfie sticker to a specific spot in their video. Pinning works with any sticker and text, and users can even pin multiple things in the same video.
Those users who are living or travelling to London, Chicago, Madrid or Tokyo will see geostickers over the coming days.
These been have been designed by local community members to help bring the cities to life. Users would able to see the artist’s username and learn more about their unique artwork after tapping the sticker.
Instagram is also rolling out a shortcut to user’s favorite stickers.
