KARACHI: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has said Chairman PTI Imran Khan should not have spoken about Rs10 billion offer, ARY News reported.
Imran Khan in a recent statement said the ruling party had offered him Rs10 billion to keep his mouth shut on the issue of Panama Papers case against the family of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
This should be noted that the Supreme Court has ordered to form a joint investigation team and hold inquiry in this case.
The PTI leader said albeit it was true that the ruling party had offered Imran money and he himself knew name of the Pakistan Muslim League-N leader who made the offer, however the PTI chief should not have spoken about it.
He said without the consent of the person who made this offer, they could not prove their statement.
However, he said, had anybody doubted that Nawaz was always ready to spend money when he wanted to achieve something or when he got into trouble.
“Have we forgotten Changa Manga? Have we forgotten when a sitting judge of high court said he was ready to serve any cause? Have we forgotten when key of a BMW car was sent to the Army chief, though it was returned? So, this is not a surprise. It is a routine thing for them,” he said.
