ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday took notice of the cold-blooded murder of Mashal Khan in Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan and demanded a comprehensive report from inspector general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within 36 hours, ARY News reported.
A group of university students and employees beat the Mass Communication student, Mashal, to death on April 13. The university was closed until further orders, while investigation is underway in this case.
Police today arrested three more employees of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan in Mashal Khan murder case, mounting the total number of arrests to 13 as yet.
The direction of investigation in Mashal lunching case took a new turn after employees of the university came to light in the CCTV camera footages received by police, said District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan.
The DPO said six people suspected of involvement in the incident have been identified as university employees. Technical teams have been formed to conduct special operation for arrest of other suspects as well, he added.
